2014.06.05 update
(Third Report) [DONET observation data partly being unavailable]

As previously reported, the data transmitted from the DONET have become unavailable since May 30 2014, 9:00 am at 16 stations out of 20 deployed off the Kii peninsula. The recovery work has been completed at eight stations on June 2, and at four stations thereafter.
At the remaining of four stations connected to Node E (see the figure below), it was confirmed that the failures have been occurring under the sea and the recovery work needs to be carried out under the sea. For the time being, the DONET monitoring system is being operated at 16 stations. We have been trying to identify specific locations of failures under the sea and determine the cause for recovery.
