Earth Simulator Industrial Use Symposium 2010

The Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) actively promotes the use of the Earth Simulator, a high-performance supercomputer, for facilitating industrial research and development in the nation. Under this initiative, the "Program for Industrial Strategic Use of Earth Simulator," a program supported by the Japan Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and "Confidential Use," in which users can carry out their own research, in confidentiality, with rights to the exclusive use of their results.

To increase awareness of such initiatives and to promote the Earth Simulator’s further contribution to the industrial community, JAMSTEC will hold the “Earth Simulator Industrial Use Symposium 2010” as described below. Presentations include the latest reports from the projects under the “Program for Industrial Strategic Use of Earth Simulator” and the lectures on future perspectives of the industrial use of supercomputers.
