The Global Oceanographic Data Center (GODAC) of JAMSTEC will host an annual open house on November 23 as described below. The event will feature a variety of activities to enhance interest in cutting-edge marine science and technology along with research activities at GODAC.
GODAC will mark the 10th anniversary since it opened in Nago City in November 2001. The open house is also part of the "2011 Kube Techno Festa - Toward a Global Base for IT and Financial Services (*)", an annual technological fair supported by Nago City.

*Kube Techo Festa 2011 – Towards a Global Base for the IT and Financial Services
The Kube district is the center of the Nago City's initiative to transform the city into a global base for IT and financial services. The annual Kube Techno Festa is designed to increase public awareness of the businesses in the Kube District and foster ties between them and local schools.
