Earth Science Museum (Yokohama Institute for Earth Sciences)

The Earth Science Museum is open to the public. Visitors can enjoy data, photos, images, etc. obtained through research, observation, and other activities at JAMSTEC.
A variety of footage related to the ocean and the earth is on display on the 1st floor. In the library located on the 2nd floor, visitors can refer to books, videos, and other materials. It takes about an hour to fully enjoy them. JAMSTEC goods, books, and other various items are available at a store on the 1st floor.
On the third Saturday of each month, the museum, library, and store are open to the public. An open seminar and hands-on experience for kids are offered, however, only in Japanese.
