IODP Expedition 370, T-Limit of the Deep Biosphere off Muroto, started its operation from 10th September 2016, and cores collected using the Deep Sea Scientific Drilling Vessel “CHIKYU” arrived at the Kochi Institute for Core Sample Research. In addition, members of the shore-based T-limit team started analyzing the received core.
