Detailed heat assessment simulations for maritime mega cities and their streets

Social Implementation Program on Climate Change Adaptation Technology

SI-CAT develops reliable technologies for near-term climate change projections that can be applied for reviewing and formulating climate change countermeasures by local governments, and for assessing the effectiveness of such countermeasures against climate change impacts in Japan. In particular, we engage in developing technologies for downscaling climate projections into building-resolving micro-scales with meter-order resolutions for the assessment of the thermal environment for mitigating serious risks from heat-related diseases.
